Sarah strives to present yoga as a lifestyle and an informed approach to living rather than simply an Easternized workout session. A class with Sarah reminds us to laugh often, to let go of excessive self-judgement and never take ourselves too seriously. Her lighthearted approach is balanced by her extensive studies of health and the human body which give focus to safety through proper position and a continual awareness of the breath. Sarah is a Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance (E-RYT 500).
Sarah attended Mount Madonna Institute (MMI) in Watsonville, California to receive her Master's degree in Ayurvedic and is a National Ayurvedic Medicine Association (NAMA) registered practitioner. Ayurveda is the sister science to yoga, the ancient and sacred practice of medicine from India. While Sarah offers individual consultations and incorporates Ayurveda into her practice as a chiropractor, she also finds every opportunity to weave this wisdom into her yoga classes. She received her degree in Exercise Science from the University of Kansas and her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City.
