Molly Root has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 1999 and a yoga teacher for fourteen years. Her love for movement started early on as a child and developed into a dance career studying at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and receiving a B.F.A. in Dance at UMKS. Molly's craving to learn more about the body, understand how to heal injuries and relieve chronic pain led to a career in massage. She received her education from MTTI, JCCC and studying with Bonnie Prudden, author of Pain Erasure: Myotherapy for Pain Control. The modalities that Molly uses are Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release Technique, Trigger Point and Sports Massage Therapy (modalities that aid in breaking up lactic acid, scar tissue and adhesions). Her goal is to improve health by reducing stress and anxiety and to bring the body back to its balanced state.
